Q: How do I add movies or TV shows to my library?
Browse or search for content in the Discover tab, then tap the "+" button on any movie or TV show
card to add it to your library. You can also organize content into custom collections.
Q: How does the AI recommendation feature work?
The AI Discovery feature uses advanced AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or Grok) to provide
personalized recommendations based on your preferences. Simply describe what you're in the mood
for, and the AI will suggest relevant movies and TV shows.
Q: How do I track TV show episodes?
When you view a TV show's details, you'll see all seasons and episodes listed. Tap the checkbox
next to each episode to mark it as watched. Your progress is saved automatically and displayed
on the TV show card.
Q: What is the random picker feature?
Can't decide what to watch? The random picker (coin flip) selects a random movie or TV show
from your library or collections. Just tap the dice icon to let chance decide!
Q: Is my data stored online?
No, all your data (library, collections, watch progress) is stored locally on your device using
AsyncStorage. Your data is private and never sent to our servers. However, this means your data
won't sync across devices.
Q: Does WatchZang cost money?
WatchZang is free to download and use. The app uses your own API keys for AI features, which may
have associated costs from the AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Grok).
